30 a Week Challenge Day 4

 Wednesday meals:

Breakfast: muesli with homegrown raspberries and spoonful of yogurt

Lunch: Cheese on seeded bread grilled in the microwave, cherry tomatoes

Evening Meal: Oven baked fish, oven chips and baked beans followed by apple pie and ice cream....

Unfortunately, I can only add baked beans to the challenge list for Wednesday, as raspberries, tomatoes and apple have already been ticked off, but G has come home from the allotment with some YS sprouts @ 10p!  and a gifted cucumber from one of our allotment neighbours.  That will be another 2 points sometime this week 😃

The allotment produce is winding down but we are still harvesting raspberries and cherry tomatoes.  Spring onions are ready now too (another one for my food list) and there's a bit of lettuce too.

Stay safe everyone x

  1. Gosh, you must really have your thinking-cap on when you are making meals to try and get a couple more points. I do like anything that makes me think a bit more about what I'm eating, this seems to be a good challenge for that. What number are you up to now?

    1. It's getting harder and harder to eat things that I haven't already counted Sue. My total so far is only 15.25 so I don't think I will make 30 :/

  2. Your meals sound very nice and you are slowly but surely managing to get closer to your 30.

    God bless.

  3. You are doing really well! Have you had cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, and beets, yet? Parsnips, celery, zucchini (courgettes), eggplant, pattypan squash, etc.? Sweet corn? Chick peas, lentils, peanuts, almonds, cashews? It sounds like one would have to write out a list of fruits and vegetables and shop for those items with this meal plan in mind! It requires having quite an assortment of produce on hand!

    1. Those are all really good suggestions Bless. I'm trying to eat from what we have already or what we normally shop for, so some of those items would have to be bought specially. We do eat lots of those things during Winter, not so much until then. We do, however, need to incorporate nuts and perhaps more herbs. Thanks so much for your comment!
