Our little street has suddenly begun to fill with sparkling lights, baubles and glitter. It's almost as though everyone has decided to bring forward the Christmas festivities to enjoy a bit of warmth and cheer before the Winter power cuts set in. It all looks so lovely that I splashed out on a fresh door wreath this morning, just £18.99 from our favourite nursery. The decorations have been dug out from the boxes in the cupboard for a display on the sideboard too. It has cheered me up immensely 😊🌲 ⛄🎅
I'm not sure we will be putting up lights this year, but candles will certainly become a regular feature.
Are you putting up decorations yet?
Stay safe everyone wherever in the world you happen to be x
That's a lovely wreath
ReplyDeleteThank you, Angela.
DeleteNot yet with the decorations, but hopefully at some point this week I can start. Your wreath is lovely.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Thank you, Jackie.
DeleteNormally we would put up our tree next weekend but this year I just felt I wanted to bring it forward a weekend so we had a lovely morning yesterday putting up the tree and all our other bits. It was so nice sat last night with the Christmas tree lights on.
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely time of year isn't it. Enjoy!
DeleteStill a bit early for me, we are away at the weekend, so I will decorate next week.
ReplyDeleteSomething to look forward to Marlene :)
DeleteWe have an outdoor Xmas tree in a pot so I will be asking DH to put it into position and put some lights on it. I am looking to decorate it with pine cones and natural decor this year. Inside I put little bits up gradually starting with the mantelpiece. The wreath was a bargain and looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteThank you! We're debating whether or not to put lights on our little outdoor potted tree. I bet you'll get a lot of enjoyment from looking at yours. It will be lovely decorated with pine cones.
DeleteYour new wreath looks lovely on the front door and will cheer up everyone who visits over the coming weeks. Our tree and decorations will be down from the loft on Thursday for us to start decorating. Have a good week x
ReplyDeleteThank you, Beverley, you too :)
DeleteThe wreath on your door looks lovely and festive. I haven't put anything up yet, but I am feeling the urge. I do need to look in the decorations box in Alan's spare bedroom to see if I have any Christmas jumpers left, I want to get maximum December wear out of any that I have. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sue, I've taken a peek at your decorations. They're coming along nicely!
Deleteweve been considering getting the decorations out, but not quite ready to put them, up yet. Love the wreath.
ReplyDeletethank you, Anjidot :)
DeleteYour wreath is lovely, well done.
ReplyDeleteOutside lights will (hopefully) go up sometime between 1st December and the weekend, but not really "feeling it" this year so probably will not do a huge amount indoors. We'll see . . .
Thank you, Jayne, I just feel the need to get cracking this year.
DeleteThat's a lovely wreath.
ReplyDeleteI saw that one of my neighbors has started decorating the outside of her house, but, so far, she's the only one. I usually don't start to decorate until mid-month; I might wait until my daughter comes home for the holidays to start decorating. :)
Thank you, Bless. I felt the need to make a start this year :)
