On Insurance and Lost Mojo
For some reason I seem to have lost my blogging mojo :( Dear Father in Law is quite poorly and so too are lots of our friends and neighbours, so we both feel a bit down about life in general. But.... I didn't want to abandon my blog completely so todays missive is a bit of good news.....
I have been searching for car insurance. Both OH's car (our main car) and my little runabout are due to have the insurance renewed in a few days. It's taken ages but I think I've struck a good deal on both vehicles. The renewal premium on the main car was £393 and the new policy is £291, a saving of £102. My runabout's renewal premium was £248 which I've squeezed down to £190, a saving of £58....Total saving £160 which I'm really pleased with. The old and new policies are identical in what we are covered for and, in fact, my voluntary excess is lower so it definitely pays to shop around. Whoop, whoop! Why do insurance companies hook you with a great deal the first year then hike the prices up in subsequent years. Do they think we will be so lazy as to pay without comparing deals? I think not!
Thanks everso for popping in and sorry for the boring post. Let me leave you on a smile....... Take care x
