At the allotment we have a glut of broad beans at the moment. Because of the failure of the ones last year, G over compensated by sowing far too many so I have been delivering bags of them to family, friends and neighbours alike . The freezer is also stuffed to the gills with them! Any suggestions for broad bean inclusive recipes anyone? ;)
Stat safe everyone. Have a great weekend x
Looking Good!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI seem to remember that we used to suffer with blackfly on our broad beans when we had our allotment, you obviously didn't. I really miss our allotment we loved it to bits but age got the better of us, lol

We had terrible blackfly last year but this time G pinched out the tops in time to deter them. The crop has been amazing. Yes, Briony, it's very hard work!
DeleteIsn't it wonderful to get rid of the build up of hair. I want to get another cut in about two weeks.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Indeed it is, Jackie, I felt quite liberated walking out of the salon. It was lovely talking to another human being too!
DeleteGreat to get your hair cut, feels normal again. Shame you don't live closer, I love broad beans.
ReplyDeleteOh I wish you did Poppy, you would have been very welcome to a regular supply.
DeleteI had my hair cut yesterday as well. It feels so good, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteIt does indeed, Eileen, I bet you walked on air afterwards too :)
DeleteLooking very good, and Sungold tomatoes are delicious aren't they :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sue, yes the tomatoes are lush. I can't wait for more to ripen, in fact.
DeleteIt's a fabulous feeling isn't it. I was so glad to get the Chelsea chop the other week.
ReplyDeleteIt is! The Chelsea chop...lol... x
DeleteThanks Marlene :) Oooh hadn't thought about a dip....
ReplyDeleteNice to hear the great news about the haircut and luckily we have been able to go twice in the past 4 months as salons and barbershops were able to reopen with restrictions. We both only got haircuts, no blow dry or any other services. It was a good feeling, I agree, and yours looked very nice from what was visible in the photo.
ReplyDeleteYour hair looks great! Congratulations on all of the beans. How exciting. I just had some with butter and fresh garlic for lunch. Homegrown tomatoes are the best! I love them on a tortilla with Tillamook cheddar cheese. Yum!
