Today is wet, cold and miserable . I know we have been spoiled somewhat with the mild Autumn we have been having but today I opened the curtains and saw this ....
The windows were running with condensation so that signals the end of drying washing indoors on the airer. The tumble dryer will need to be utilised from now on. Although I have been trying to reduce our electricity consumption, it seems counterproductive to allow damp into our home.
So tumble dryer it is.
I am getting into the mood for Christmas albeit early so I cleaned the windows and put out my new light cone.
I feel cosier already :-)
Are you in the mood for Christmas and cosying up yet?
Thanks so much for popping in x

Gosh, has it only been a week since Easter Sunday? It somehow feels much longer. A big thank you to those who left comments on my last coup...
It was wet and miserable here today, I washed a load of towels, there was no way I was going to let them dry indoors, they would have just gone smelly, so I used the dryer, I do listen to the weather, but in winter its just no good having dirty laundry festering, sometimes the dryer has to be used. I am not feeling in the christmas mood yet, but then I am knackered so I'm a bit down at the moment. x
ReplyDeleteIt's just not worth trying to dry things any other way now. I love to get things blowing on the line but no chance now until Spring :(
DeleteHope you feel better soon. Put your feet up a bit x
I will be using the new tumble dryer tomorrow, it did stop raining for a couple of hours this morning and again this afternoon. Ben had 2 walks in the dry but I managed to go shopping in a monsoon, I would have put it off but I take my friend Maggie and she needed to go today. My windows were condensed up for a few mornings so I have adjusted the air vent in the kitchen, by leaving the doors ajar it has almost removed the problem.
ReplyDeleteYes, we need to adjust our thinking a bit now. Hope the new tumble dryer is brilliant! I don't have a dog but I know you have to walk them in all weathers, Pam. Hope you've dried out and warmed up!
DeleteMiserable here too, my dog and I got soaked this morning. I too will be using the tumble dryer as winter progresses. I am not in the festive mood yet as I have three family birthdays in November and I have to get past them first!
ReplyDeleteOur son was born on Christmas Day and we have several family birthdays in November too so I understand what you mean.
