More Bargainacious Spuds

Hello to my new follower, Twiggypeasticks, I love your name :)

Just a quick post today.  Do you remember these...

They are on offer once again in Morrisons at £2 for a 12.5kg bag. This time the variety is Sante so I don't know how they perform but for the price they are well worth a try. They should store well in a cool dry place.  My last bag is still in the shed and they are fine, I just fetch a few indoors every few days. More mash tonight on veggie shepherd's pie. Yes, I know it's a contradiction in terms but quorn mince instead of lamb is a winner in my book :)

Thanks ever so for popping in x

  1. I'm only half way through ours, but they are in the garage and they are keeeping well, I was thinking next time I do mash, doing a big lot and putting some in the freezer.

    1. That's a jolly good idea. I often want some mash in a hurry, great tip Marlene.

  2. I use so few potatoes that I think they would shrivel up before I got to them. I buy a bag from Lidl and it lasts 3 weeks, sometimes 4.

    1. We (2 of us) do get through a fair few with jacket potatoes, mash, roasties, cheese pie etc so it's worth it for us. I sometimes split a bag with our daughter too.

  4. Fantastic price, we go through fazes of eating or not eating potatoes. Normally more when the eldest is back from uni. I shall look out next time I am at Morrisons, the boy could also take some back with him.

    1. Jacket potatoes are always a good tummy filler for boys who seem to eat for England! Mine certainly could anyway :) And I love a jacket with crispy skin....
