Thanks So Much

Thank you all for your helpful and supportive comments on my last post.  You have helped me to come to a decision.  I plucked up the courage to ring the police and the officer was so calming and helpful and I've filed a complaint.  He did tell me that they attended that address at some point last week so someone else has reported her too and they would have attended on Sunday after my online Covid rule- breaking report on Sunday/Monday but had another issue to deal with and couldn't respond.   I also managed to speak to the lady who lives directly opposite the problem house and she has seen even more than me, having a birds eye view, as it were. She says that she commented to her husband that she didn't know how we put up with it.  She is happy to support my complaint if I contact the council and apparently the police attended the house sometime in March too, which I didn't know about.  Young Neighbour is skating on thin ice, I think.

This will be the last downbeat post, I promise.

My next post will be brighter (if I can prop my eyelids open long enough to type one!) 👀

Stay safe everyone, wherever in the world you happen to be x

  1. This is such a difficult one, but you have acted after careful thought and not in an angry rant way. I'm glad you have support from someone else, and it's clear the police are aware and taking you seriously. May you have peace of mind - and peaceful nights x

    1. Thank you so much, Angela, we just want her to stop disturbing us at night but it seems she's disturbing others too x

  2. Life is very hard when you have bad neighbours, there is no point trying to speak to them, they don't care. I hope things can get sorted now.

  3. Glad you feel better and I also feel you took the right action and after waiting so long. That neighbor does sound selfish and it’s time she was made to account for her actions. Hopefully you will be able to get some quiet rest in the future.

  5. Thank you so much for your support Sue. The photo is courtesy of the grandchildren who found a photo on their phone which was taken a while ago and doctored it! We think he looks great ;)

  6. I'm glad you've taken action, and been taken seriously. Sounds like she's already on the police radar, so hopefully things will be sorted soon. xx

  7. Hopefully your neighbour will start to be a bit more considerate now. It's rotten luck to have inconsiderate neighbours and they really do make life miserable.

  8. Thank you, Cherie, we really drew the short straw here. All we want is to be left in peace.

  9. It really helps when you have support in situations like yours. Neighbors like that can be a nightmare. I hope things get better and you have peace and quiet.
